Environ 80% des documents sont en anglais.

Historique

  • 1920 : à la rue de la Taconnerie 5 a small Quaker lending library was in operation.
  • 1921 : Rosslyn Earp completely reorganized the meeting library.
  • 1925 : Ethel Mather incorporated the thirty Quakers books from Madeleine Savary.
  • 1926 : Kate Scheuer, complete reorganization of the Library.
  • 1934 : première rencontre des Amis en Suisse : “Il fut proposé et accepté de créer une Bibliothèque quaker circulante” franco-allemande.
  • 1935 : Hélène Gautier organized the French titles in the Library.
  • 1940 : Félix and Violette Ansermoz re-catalogued the French books.
  • 1942 : “Le groupe de Genève a l'avantage de posséder une riche bibliothèque, celle du Centre Quaker - dont il prend grand soin - et à laquelle des amis et sympathisants de toute la Suisse ont fréquemment recours”.
  • 1957 : achat du livre de Barclay, Apology, première édition en français.
  • Années 1960 : Hildegard Schaumann
  • 1974 : Duncan Wood écrit que la Pickard Library sera placée au rez-de-chaussée (nouveaux locaux du Mervelet), dans “le fumoir”. La bibliothèque existante est décrite as a reasonable specimen of a Meeting library.
  • Années 1980 : installation de la bibliothèque dans la salle de réunion (meeting room). Environ 22 mètres linéaires.
  • 1982 : catalogage par Delia Vachangandhi avec l'indexation décimale de Dewey (CDD).
  • Dès 1994 (?) : Sonja Krummel
  • 1997 : environ 1'300 livres.
  • 2001 : environ 1'500 livres.
  • Dès 2006, réorganisation, catalogage des brochures, des séries et des périodiques. Informatisation du catalogue, définitive en 2009.
  • 2008 : “désherbage”, les ouvrages « non quakers » sont donnés.
  • 2009 : les ouvrages anciens (avant 1960) sont déplacés dans les locaux du QUNO, dans l'ancien “fumoir”. Environ 12 mètres linéaires.
  • 2019 : 3'600 notices au catalogue.
